Note: All of our Buckeye Burl is "colored" by a special process by which the wood is sun baked in metal containers until it becomes blackened and sometimes spalted (it also becomes very dry). Our stock is some of the cleanest on the market, as each piece has been power washed and processed to remove most residual grit. Please note, however, that although the wood has been cleaned as well as possible, some pockets containing dirt and small pebbles may remain.
